World Of Warcraft For Social Networking

August 28, 2009 · Posted in Articles

The massive multiplayer role playing game World of Warcraft was officially launched on the tenth anniversary of the video game that inspired it - Warcraft. Though the company that made the game anticipated no more than one million subscribers at first, they were soon overwhelmed due to its popularity.
One of the results of the game is a number of players who have developed relationships with others from around the world. These groups would have never met, except for the game. The shared goals inherent in the game have allowed socially awkward individuals to interact. They behave in ways within the game that they would not in real life.
Indeed, with some people gathering together to even make a business of the game (through WOW gold selling, commonly accomplished by using a good Warcraft guide that helps one maximize ones ability to do well in the game), the game has gone beyond a simple way for people to get online to destroy orcs and trolls and go on quests.
World of Warcraft has been used as a means of bringing different types of people together in a new way. For example, it can facilitate meetings for people who are not capable of getting together for financial reasons. Additionally, it has served as a way for companies to more creatively bring together different departments within an organization.
One of the most interesting aspects of World of Warcraft is the stories one hears about romances that began in the game. These romantic liaisons have lead to proposals and marriages. Numerous cases have been reported of people who met their life partners in the game. Many are now happily married, playing the adventurous role playing game together.
World of Warcraft was initiated in order to take a highly successful series of video games to another level by replicating it on the internet. It has, however, gone way beyond what was expected of it and beyond the usual significance of an internet activity. The major reason for the outstanding success of the game lies less in the actual functions of the game than in the participants who have been drawn to it.
On the tenth anniversary of the popular video game Warcraft, the greatly-expanded version it inspired was officially launched. The World of Warcraft multi-player game has delivered some highly creative ideas. This is the game that was created to transform an awesome series of offline games into a game that could be played online. They have sold WOW gold, achieving this feat by utilizing a Warcraft guide which assists you in playing the game successfully. The game mechanisms have operated superbly, but the main success of the game lies with the people who have been playing the game.
